Data Services and Fees

In March 2017 the Liverpool City Region (LCR) Local Planning Authorities agreed that MEAS should start charging applicants for pre-application and discretionary services advice during the 2017/18 financial year.

As a shared service MEAS adopts a consistent set of charges and fees across the LCR. A shared approach via MEAS is evidence of continuing  co-operation between the LCR Councils.

Any fees charged are re-invested in efficient service delivery for wider public good and to meet the objectives of our Local Authority customers.  In charging for advisory services and data services MEAS is seeking to ensure that our Local Authorities have access to high-quality, professional, technical environmental advice to inform policy making and decision-taking for the benefit of the environment, places, communities and businesses of the Liverpool City Region. Note: MEAS do not charge for environmental data and information.  We charge for advisory services and data products only.
